On the left side you can search by name, filter by categories, and if you have any alternate collections of Performances, you can select one of those in the lower-left. The long list of Performances is in the middle with its columns of metadata and on the right side is the Inspector. By the way, those columns of data can be resized and their sort order can be changed by clicking on the header at the top of each column. In addition, the columns themselves can be dragged horizontally into the order you’d like. In the Inspector section on the right side you can view the Performance name, Author, the Collection it resides in, Categories (it can be in two of them if you’d like) and Notes about the Performance. If you want to check out most everything and not just the Performances, you can click on the Librarian at the upper-right. It has an additional filter in the upper-left to narrow it down by type: Performances, Programs, Wav Sequences, Effects and more. While skimming through the long list of Performances, I thought it was slightly odd that none of them had any Notes added. I just thought some of the designers for the plugin would have a few notes included. Of course, you can add your own notes anytime as performance reminders (e.g. “modwheel affects Layers 1 and 3”).Īll four Layers are identical in their capabilities and each can use quite complex settings if the need arises. On the left you’re able to enable/disable each of the four Layers. If a Layer is enabled, clicking on its tab will switch to the settings for the particular Layer. A Performance using just one or two Layers can be enough for many musical tasks, but that’s up to you of course. Loading a pre-made Performance is a great way to see how a sound designer has achieved the overall sound and how they utilized the Layers. When you initially load the plugin you will be on the Overview display. You’re able to switch to the other pages of settings using tabs.
